Zaltys Wireless Modem Solutions
The Zaltys™ range offers a configurable set of components
for the design of modems in the wireless communications area. Our
first product in this range is the Zaltys-HDRM, a high data-rate
modem for satellite communication systems. It supports all signal
processing and synchronisation functions necessary to modulate and
demodulate BPSK, QPSK, OQPSK, 8PSK and 16QAM at symbol rates from
9.6Ksymb/s to 40Msym/s when implemented in a Xilinx Spartan3 device.
The demodulator performs all of the digital processing required
between a radio-interface frontend and forward error correction
processing. This includes control of the input AGC circuitry, sample
rate decimation, symbol timing recovery and carrier recovery. The
output of the demodulator consists of a stream of ‘soft’
symbol representations in the constellation space of the chosen
modulation scheme.

Prime PDH Solutions
Silicon Infusion has developed a ‘mix and match’ collection
of semiconductor IP components which provide all the functionality
required to build a wide range of primary-rate access products.
These components include T1/E1/J1 framers and deframers, PCM highway
interfaces, signalling stack controllers and HDLC and other protocol
engines for communication over assigned channels. To connect all
these components together a crosspoint time/space switch (TIE) is
also available.
An example Prime based device has already been designed and tested.
The Prime-8 variant consists of 8 T1/E1/J1 framers and deframers
(each with associated signalling stack), 8 PCM interfaces, 24 HDLC
controllers and 8 X50 controllers. A TIE block interconnects all
the interface components together to form a fully integrated system.
